MBI which comprises a range of digitally-led brands including Broadcast and Screen International was sold to GlobalData, an AIM-listed data and analytics company.
The Mobeus VCTs invested £11.7 million in MBI in January 2015 in a deal lead by Chris Price, as a combined debt and equity package to support the management buyout from Ascential plc. This investment enabled the business to transition from a traditional publisher to a digitally-led data, insights and intelligence company with a market-leading portfolio of brands.
