Axfood, the Sweden based company active within the food industry in Scandinavia, has acquired the remaining 90.1% of the shares in City Gross Sverige AB, the Sweden based food retail chain, from Bergendahl Food Holding AB, the Sweden based holding company of Bergendahl & Son AB, the Sweden based grocery company, for a consideration of SEK 2bn on a cash and debt free basis. Following the transaction, Axfood owns 100% of City Gross.
