TDR Capital, the UK based private equity firm specializing in medium sized mid-market control leveraged buyouts and growth capital investments, has acquired 22.5% of Zuber Issa’s shares in Asda, the UK based food, clothing, home, and leisure products retailer, for GBP 500m. The transaction brings TDR Capital’s ownership of Asda to 67.5%, with Mohsin Issa remaining a co-owner on 22.5% and Walmart still owning 10%.
